Robin and a blue-clad figure in a sweeping purple cape are both sent hurtling through a burst of fire and splintering debris — and the cover's wry tagline, "Well, Spoiler was afraid they'd have a falling out…", makes it clear this explosive tumble is exactly what it looks like. Mike Wieringo's pencils and Terry Austin's inks give the scene terrific kinetic energy, capturing Robin's wide-eyed alarm mid-freefall against a backdrop of smoke and flame. Chuck Dixon's "The Stupid Death" promises the kind of sharp, wit-laced action that made this 1997 series such a reliable treat.
