Robin crouches front and center in full fighting stance, green-gloved fists spread wide as a pack of snarling dogs charges toward the viewer — and looming behind him are two unsettling threats: a massive armored figure bearing three stars on his chest and a pale, dark-haired woman in a red cape adorned with skulls. Scott McDaniel and Andy Owens deliver a cover that packs genuine menace into every corner, promising a story every bit as fierce as its title, "Meaner Than a Junkyard Dog." A solid 2005 chapter in Bill Willingham's run on the series, this one looks like a wild ride for Tim Drake fans.
