“The Wrong Town Part 3”

Robin #114 brings a striking pop-art sensibility to Gotham's most resourceful sidekick, with Pete Woods and Andrew Pepoy delivering a bold, Ben-Day-dot-saturated close-up of Robin's determined, masked face filling the entire cover. The vivid, multicolored halftone treatment gives the image an almost electric energy, perfectly capturing the intensity of a hero deep in something complicated — which, given that we're three parts into "The Wrong Town," feels entirely earned. Jon Lewis, Pete Woods, and Andrew Pepoy are doing some genuinely inventive visual work here, and this 2003 issue is a great snapshot of the series firing on all cylinders.
