Rick and Morty vs. Cthulhu #3
In "Rick and Morty vs. Cthulhu Part III: Yith We Can," written by Jim Zub and illustrated by Troy Little, Rick’s consciousness now resides in the body of a Yith, a mind from H.P. Lovecraft’s "The Shadow Out of Time." With help from his fellow Yith scholar Yith-Huey, Rick attempts to escape the forbidden depths of the Yith archive by unleashing the Cosmic Terror—only to face heartbreak when Yith-Huey is lost in the chaos. Meanwhile, back on Earth, Rick’s cloned body discovers Beth under Cthulhu’s influence, setting the stage for a desperate showdown. The cover, by Troy Little, captures the eerie, otherworldly dread of the moment.

Seconds before Rick was forced to blow his head off in Issue #2, his mind and consciousness was transferred across dimensions and placed in the body of a Yith, hideous looking scholarly archivists from the story "The Shadow Out of Time" (1936). Having none of this, Yith-Rick and his newfound friend Yith-Huey plan their escape by releasing The Cosmic Terror from The Forbidden Chamber and escaping in the chaos by using forbidden technology. Yith-Huey, with whom Yith-Rick had an Yith-like romance, was killed by the creature. At home, Rick clones back his body and finds Beth possessed by Cthulhu.
