“Rick and Morty vs. Cthulhu Part II: Shut Your Innsmouth”

In "Rick and Morty vs. Cthulhu Part II: Shut Your Innsmouth," Rick's desperate gamble in Innsmouth backfires when he's forced to choose between his life and his sanity. With Morty and Summer imprisoned in separate cells—one shared with the cryptic Cathy, the other with the drunken Zadok Allen—each must confront the strange, ancient forces of the Dreamlands and the looming threat of Dagon. Written by Jim Zub and illustrated with eerie precision by Troy Little, this surreal descent into cosmic horror sees the family's worst fears made real, all under a cover by Troy Little that captures the dread in sharp, unsettling detail.

In Innsmouth, Rick was forced by Barnabas Marsh to kill himself by blowing his head off. Morty and Summer are jailed in separate cells. Summer's cellmate is old drunken Zadok Allen who shows her how to reach The Dreamlands via meditation, while Morty is locked up with a mysterious comparably-aged girl named Cathy. Morty and Cathy are intended as virgin sacrifices to the god Dagon. Seeking the obvious way out of their mutual peril fails as Morty is dragged away for the sacrifice before they could "become ineligible". Dagon instead kills Barnabas and adopts Morty as his "...new favorite son".
