Return of the Jedi Weekly #115
"Touch of the Goddess" delivers a tense, character-driven moment in the Star Wars saga, as the rebels face a moral and physical crisis on Fumiyo’s world. When Lando Calrissian falls ill with the mysterious Godoan’s disease, the team must confront a long-banned rule: no alien may enter the sacred temple, even to save a life. With Han Solo ready to defy the planet’s guardians, the fate of Lando—and the mission—hangs in the balance. Written by Jo Duffy and brought to life by Ron Frenz’s dynamic art and Sam de la Rosa’s sharp inks, this 1985 Marvel UK weekly captures the stakes and emotion of the rebellion with quiet intensity. The cover by Ron Frenz and Sam de la Rosa perfectly frames the moment’s gravity.

The rebels are about to leave orbit of Fumiyo's world when Lando Calrissian is found to be suffering the symptoms of the Godoan's disease. Bringing him back to the temple on the planet to which the rebels had restored a statue for Fumiyo and his people, they learn that no aliens - including the rebels - may be permitted to enter the temple again. Han Solo, supported by the other rebel pilots, threatens to attack the planet if they are not permitted to land and restore Lando to his health.
