Return of the Jedi Weekly #114
"Touch of the Goddess" delivers a quiet but gripping mystery in the Star Wars Weekly series, as young Papilio finds himself drawn to strange shadows and hidden machinery in Queen Carmine’s castle on Uria. Written and illustrated by Michel Pierret, the story unfolds with a sense of eerie curiosity as Papilio questions what lies behind the queen’s denial of technology—and why his every move seems to be watched. Bob McLeod’s cover captures the moment’s tension, perfectly framing the mystery at the heart of this 1985 Marvel UK issue.

Papilio accompanies his father, Damian, on a spaceflight from Turquoise to Uria to visit Damian's friend, Queen Carmine, but is told he must leave his pet, Gecko, behind. Visiting Queen Carmine's castle upon arrival at Uria, Papilio spots a familiar-looking shadow and follows it to a room filled with machinery. Later, when the queen explains how the people of her world abandoned the use of machines and denies that there are any in the castle, Papilio goes in search for the room he stumbled on earlier, but his movements have not gone unnoticed.
