The cover of Resurrection Man #13 says everything with chilling economy: a white chalk outline of a body sprawled on a black surface, surrounded by blood spatter, a candy cane resting ominously within the silhouette, and a bat-shaped weapon lying nearby — the subtitle "Murder So Sweet" earning every word. It's a striking, noir-inflected composition from cover artist Butch Guice that leans into crime-scene imagery rather than superhero action, signaling something darker and more grounded inside. Dan Abnett, Andy Lanning, and Mike McKone were clearly not pulling punches with this 1998 arc.
