Relative Heroes #4

This 2000 DC series gets a standout spotlight on Blindside, whose translucent green-costumed figure looms ghostlike over a graffiti-covered wall while two opponents tumble to the ground clutching spray cans — a vivid visual play on the tagline "just because he's invisible doesn't mean he doesn't want to be seen." Writer Devin Grayson and cover penciller Yvel Guichet (inked by Aaron Sowd) make the most of the character's powers, rendering him simultaneously present and ethereal against that explosion of street-art color. With the interior story titled "Visibility," this issue clearly puts Blindside's need to be noticed — and his ability to catch enemies completely off-guard — front and center.
