In "Jimminy Crickets," Archie's notoriously loud car becomes the talk of the school, prompting Reggie to suggest Veronica skip the dance with him to avoid embarrassment—only for Jughead to quietly plot a way to reunite her with Archie.

Archie tries a strange new tactic to keep his cool: listening to a tape of Reggie’s insults—recorded by Dilton as a prank—on repeat, hoping to get used to them before the real thing. It’s a bizarre plan, but when Reggie’s barbs are just a little too close to the mark, even a prank might just be too much.
