About this Collection

This collection brings together the five-issue Red Sonja: Wrath of the Gods miniseries from Dynamite Entertainment, originally published in 2010. Written by Michael Avon Oeming and drawn by Mel Rubi, the story finds the She-Devil with a Sword caught in a conflict between the gods of the Hyborian Age, forcing her to confront divine wrath and mortal treachery alike.

Red Sonja: Wrath of the Gods #1 kicks off with a brutal clash as Sonja battles Loki’s henchmen in Wodinaz, her fury catching the god’s attention. When Loki wounds her with his own blood, the stakes shift—now his power could bind her. With help from the mysterious Gamble and a spellbook summoning Thor, Sonja’s fight for survival becomes a mythic clash of gods and steel. Written by Luke Lieberman and Ethan Ryker, with bold art by Walter Geovani and striking colors by Vinicius Andrade, the cover by Lucio Parrillo captures the storm of war and magic.

As Loki's henchmen attack Wodinaz, Sonja wades into the battle with passion that catches Loki's eye. After slaughtering most of his men, she hurls a blade at Loki, piercing his hand. He plucks it out and hurls it back at her, nicking her shoulder. Realizing the wound with Loki's blood can give Loki power over Sonja, Gamble helps Sonja escape, using spells from a magic book to summon his brother, Thor.
