Oct 2014 · Dynamite Entertainment · 3.99 USD

In Red Sonja: The Black Tower #2, the warrior stands chained before Fengar Tolt, only to break free and turn the tide against her captors. As the Black Tower unleashes an army of cloaked warriors who slaughter friend and foe alike, Sonja confronts one of them—only to discover the horrifying truth: he is not what he seems. Written by Frank Tieri and illustrated by Cezar Razek, with colors by Salvatore Aiala Studios and letters by Simon Bowland, the cover by Amanda Conner captures the moment of escalating dread.

Sonja is led before Fengar Tolt in chains. She frees herself and dispatches her would-be executioners and attacks Fengar. His men rush to his defence but before they can overwhelm Sonja, the Black Tower opens and an army of black clothed warriors joins the battle. They slay soldiers and captives indiscriminately. Sonja faces off against one and finds out he is not human.
