The 2025 Red Hulk series was assembled by writer Benjamin Percy and artist Geoff Shaw fresh off their collaborative 'Sabretooth War' arc in Wolverine, with editor Mark Paniccia overseeing the book. Issue #7 marks the first interior art contribution by Jethro Morales to the series, with Shaw continuing as cover artist — a one-issue fill-in that maintained the run's visual identity on the cover while Morales handled the pages. The issue also contains an in-print tribute to the late Peter David, the writer whose decade-plus run on Incredible Hulk shaped much of the character mythology that Percy's series draws upon.
