Red Hulk #1

History

The series was announced in November 2024 and assigned to writer Benjamin Percy and artist/cover artist Geoff Shaw, a pairing that had already collaborated on the 'Sabretooth War' arc in the 2020 Wolverine series and on a Wolverine/Ghost Rider crossover, Weapons of Vengeance. Percy has stated publicly that the One World Under Doom event immediately suggested Ross to him — a man whose entire identity is built around American military supremacy would be an obvious target for a conquering Doom, and an obvious candidate for forced service in a covert 'think tank.' A prelude story seeding the series was published by the same creative team in Incredible Hulk #19 (the milestone 800th issue of Hulk), establishing Ross's capture before issue #1 picks up the story mid-captivity. Series editor Mark Paniccia oversaw the project, with C.B. Cebulski serving as Editor-in-Chief.
