Rookie Gorius Karkum tells the Guardians how while Adam Strange tried to broker peace between L.E.G.I.O.N. and the Green Lantern Corps, Vril Dox sent Starfire to some of the new client worlds. Starfire realized she was being observed and confronted Gorius Karkum, who took her to the Psion homeworld and showed Starfire how Psion women are treated. Unsuccessful in freeing the Psion women, Starfire returned to L.E.G.I.O.N. headquarters where she persuaded Dox to annul the contract with the Psions, unaware that another scientific experiment continues on the Psion homeworld.
