“Sons of Brainiac, Part 3: Brain-Drain”

Lobo crashes into R.E.B.E.L.S. with the cover's own taunt — "Guess who's fraggin' back?" — as the Main Man looms large, chains in one fist and a star-spangled helmet in the other, grinning with the kind of menace only he can pull off. David Finch's cover work gives the intergalactic bounty hunter a raw, visceral presence against a smoky purple backdrop that feels genuinely dangerous. With Tony Bedard and Claude St. Aubin deep into "Sons of Brainiac," this 2010 issue promises the cosmic sci-fi series just got a whole lot wilder.

In the time it takes Vril Dox to retrieve Lobo, Brainiac takes control of Pulsar Stargrave away from Lyrl. While Lobo tangles with Pulsar Stargrave, Vril and Lyrl take on Brainiac together.
