Récit Complet Justice League HS #2

Nov 2017 · Urban Comics · 5.90 EUR
“Ascension”

"Ascension" marks a pivotal moment in the Justice League HS series, as Geoff Johns and artists Gary Frank and Ethan Van Sciver explore the lingering echoes of the Flashpoint reboot through Wally West’s fractured return. Stripped of his adult memories and stranded outside the timeline, the youthful Kid Flash emerges in a world that doesn’t recognize him—only to vanish back into the Speed Force before Batman can confirm his identity. Bryan Hitch’s striking cover captures the moment’s urgency, while the story quietly reveals that the New 52’s creation wasn’t just a timeline reset, but a deliberate alteration that erased a decade from the heroes’ lives.

Wally West, who has not been seen in the new 52 Universe, finds himself aged back to a youthful Kid Flash existing outside of the normal timeline. He appears to Batman hoping that Bruce will remember him and help him, but gets pulled back into the Speed Force before that happens. Wally recalls how the New 52 Universe was formed as the result of undoing the Flashpoint universe, but only Wally is aware that some outside force manipulated events so that some things were different in the New 52 Universe than in the pre-Flashpoint universe, including stealing 10 years from the heroes lives.
