While Mera works to secure his release, Murk leads a covert mission to the wreckage, uncovering troubling evidence that ties Atlantean forces to the disaster. As a U.S. Recovery team closes in, the fragile peace fractures, and Black Jack pushes Black Manta toward joining N.E.M.O., whose ambitions for oceanic supremacy grow ever more dangerous.
