Queen Sonja #7
In "The Red Queen Episode 2," Queen Sonja grapples with a shocking revelation: the crest she discovered on Ariok’s standard bearer ties her to a bloodline of Sogaria’s long-dead, supposedly evil kings. Back with her army, still reeling from the battle of Astahan, she faces a moral crossroads when her men capture Ariok and his young sister—leading her to a tense promise of single combat, where she vows to protect his true lineage if she prevails. Written by Arvid Nelson and illustrated by Jackson Herbert, with colors by Vinicius Andrade and letters by Simon Bowland, this issue deepens Sonja’s journey with quiet intensity. The cover, by Lucio Parrillo, captures her steely resolve in striking detail.

Sonja learns that the crest she found secreted on Ariok's standard bearer belongs to the first kings of Sogaria who were supposedly incredibly evil and thought to have been long dead. When she returns to her army, still cleaning up after the battle of Astahan, she finds that her men have captured Ariok and his little sister. Finding her enemy to be somewhat noble, Sonja agrees to meet with him in single combat and promises to keep his true lineage a secret should she win the fight.
