Promising "Supposititious Narratives of Mild Trepidation and Intrigue," PvP #7 leans into gleeful B-movie parody with a cover — penciled by Mike Wieringo and inked by Jaime Mendoza — that spotlights a startled redhead recoiling from a massive, clawed hand lunging toward her, all under the wonderfully lurid tagline "I Was a Teenage Hormone!" Three familiar PvP cast members peer out from medallion portraits along the left side, looking equally alarmed at whatever horror approaches. Scott Kurtz's gaming-world comedy strip gets a fun creature-feature makeover here, and it's hard not to grin at how earnestly the cover commits to the bit.
