Punisher #65

Part five of "Girls in White Dresses" arrives in this Punisher MAX issue from 2009, and Dave Johnson's cover design makes an immediate impression — a bold geometric arrow points inward through layered panels, framing the Punisher's stone-cold glare at its center while a grotesquely scarred, snarling face looms in the surrounding fragments. Crimson-winged, serpentine creatures sweep across the top of the composition, giving the whole image a menacing, almost mythological charge. Gregg Hurwitz and Laurence Campbell's MAX-rated run continues to push Frank Castle into some genuinely dark territory, and this Jigsaw-titled chapter promises no shortage of tension.
