"Pete Gonzales vs. Punch" depicts a boxing match scheduled for Saturday night between the two fighters. A military aviation story follows, in which a pilot must repair his damaged plane's throttle rod while in flight and under enemy fire, ultimately engaging Nazi aircraft marked with swastikas. A third story involves police investigating a forged automobile license application numbered "1065" in Cudahy, Wisconsin, tracing it to a man named "Art" at 3542 E. Plankinton Avenue; officers pursue the suspect, who attempts to escape but is stopped when a second slug ricochets off one officer's belt buckle, saving his life.
