A determined woman raises a pistol while the bold silhouette of an armed figure looms behind her — Oeming's high-contrast palette of deep black and warm red making the standoff feel genuinely electric. If that pull quote at the bottom ("something is wrong with you" if you're not reading this) feels a little smug, it's hard to argue with in 2002.
