The penultimate issue of Steve Skroce and Dave Stewart's wild post-apocalyptic series delivers a cover that captures the series' gleeful chaos perfectly: a battered young woman in a torn jacket stands her ground, one hand gripping a gun and the other a blood-drenched blade, while an overwhelming tide of bizarre creatures — giant baseball-headed monsters, mechanical warriors, horned demons, mutant animals, and a bear in a military uniform — press in around her from every direction. Skroce's linework is relentlessly inventive, packing the image with so many strange figures that each new look rewards another scan. If this is the kind of corner the story has backed its hero into, issue six of Post Americana promises to be one very eventful ride.
