Steve Skroce's post-apocalyptic satire rolls on with issue five, and the cover sets the mood perfectly — a glamorous woman in red, black umbrella in hand, surveys a rubble-strewn wasteland alongside a wide-eyed cartoon elephant and a nervous egg-headed little figure, while looming monster-like shapes haunt the debris behind them. It's an wonderfully absurd image that captures the series' sharp blend of dark comedy and societal commentary, all brought to vivid life by Dave Stewart's colors punctuating Skroce's intricate linework.
