Porky Pig #77
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freePorky Pig looks anything but calm on this August 1961 Dell cover, as the bow-tied pig clings to a tree branch with a determined scowl, gripping what appears to be a tool or implement — suggesting whatever's going on, he'd rather be anywhere else. Tony Strobl's cover art captures Porky's expressive charm perfectly, and with a story titled "Bath Battle" inside, it's easy to imagine the stubborn little guy is making his stand. Toss in a Big Dell Comics Contest and a Dell Trading Post, and this 15-cent issue packs a genuinely fun package for Looney Tunes fans of 1961.

A dishonest tree farm worker sells Porky a palm tree. Unfortunately the tree happens to be the one where the farm owner buried a box with $1,000 in it. The box bounces out of the root ball and when Porky and Cicero go looking for it, they run into a shady character with a box. However it turns out not to be the one they're looking for.
