Porky Pig finds himself in a precarious spot on this March-April 1958 Dell issue, standing atop a circus pedestal in his safari hat while clutching a pair of toy pliers — face to face with a very disgruntled lion who has already chomped through what looks like another tool. John Carey's cover art captures that perfect blend of nervous Porky and menacing big cat that made these Dell funny-animal comics such a delight. With an interior story titled "Porky Pig and the Sea King's Ghost," this issue promises adventure well beyond the circus ring.
