In "null," young Skippy Skinner tries desperately to dissuade the Deacon from visiting his mother, only to be left stunned when he overhears her ask if the Deacon got the cake she made for him—only to learn the Deacon claimed he didn’t.

In "null," Northrup spirals in frustrated circles until a sudden idea lights his way. He heads to the City Dump, gathering trash with purpose, only to be met by a bald boy who asks if he’s searching for something. Northrup nods, saying he was—just in time for Hoiman’s birthday.

In "null," Skippy Skinner takes pride in building a perfect snowman—only to have it destroyed by Butch, who rides by on his sleigh. Determined to outwit him, Skippy constructs a new snowman in a hidden spot, but Butch isn’t far behind. When he arrives, the snowman’s secret proves too clever for the sleigh to handle, sending both boy and sleigh tumbling in a snowy tangle.
