Gangsters attack the payroll sedan with a submachine gun, and make away with the strongbox full of $32,000. Patrolman Curry gets the license plate number of the getaway car. Paymaster and guards, all dead. A boy witness describes four masked men in dark suits, and delivers a shell casing. Curry sees crook Peroni lugging a violin case, follows, calls in Sgt Grove for support and a warrant to search Mat Voss' News Center. They find the gun and swag. Legman Peroni is shot starting to name the gangsters. Curry confronts and kills Voss. Peroni survives to testify. Curry is promoted to Sergeant.
