The cover by Simon Bisley sets a moody, unsettling tone right from the start — a hard-edged blond man has a gun pressed to his temple, flanked by a grinning red demon creature on one side and a cracked mural of a winged angel figure behind him. That tension between the infernal and the celestial, wrapped around a man who looks like he's been through the worst of it, makes for a striking opening image for this WildStorm/Eye of the Storm mature-readers series. Ed Brubaker and Colin Wilson kick off "Point Blank - Part One" with exactly the kind of gritty, morally complicated atmosphere that promises a compelling noir-edged ride.
