“Uno, Last Man On Earth”

In "Uno, Last Man On Earth," a mysterious survivor from 4 million A.D. arrives in 1949, seeking humanity’s last hope to rebuild civilization—only to find the Rattler and his companion Tina, who are swept into his spherical ship and carried to a distant future. Written by Bill Woolfolk and illustrated by Jack Cole, this striking early Plastic Man tale blends sci-fi wonder with the series’ signature absurdity, as the Rattler’s attempt to use Uno’s disintegrating ray on Plastic Man backfires in a twist that changes everything. The cover by Jack Cole captures the eerie grandeur of the moment, a visual hallmark of the era’s bold, expressive style.

The astounding Uno has come from 4 million A.D. seeking people to help him repopulate the Earth, and the first people he meets are the Rattler and his moll, Tina, who are whisked away to the future in Uno's spherical ship. On a return trip, the Rattler used Uno's disintegrating ray on Plastic Man, but, luckily, it had a reverse setting. Tina and another woman ultimately decided to stay with Uno in the future.
