Plastic Man #16
Plastic Man discovers a suitcase full of money, leading to complications when a mummy case and criminal case become entangled in the situation. A character named Woozy becomes involved in the confusion, and Plastic Man must work to clear up the mystery while dealing with kidnapping threats and the involvement of hotel staff. The story involves Plastic Man's elasticity being used creatively to navigate multiple locations simultaneously and outsmart the criminals involved in the plot.
When Plastic Man encounters a young woman attempting suicide in the park, he learns of a family curse plaguing the wealthy Gazelle Van Gonder—every suitor who's tried to marry her has mysteriously died. As Gazelle schemes to marry the reluctant Jeff Jollup to claim her uncle's inheritance, Plastic Man uncovers a sinister plot far more calculated than any curse, with hired killers lurking in the shadows. The strangest and stretchiest of all lawmen must untangle a web of murder and deception to expose who's really behind the deaths.
