Planet of the Apes #37
In "Beneath the Planet of the Apes: Part Two: Enslaved," Brent and Nova race against time as their hiding place is nearly exposed—Brent is wounded in a tense confrontation. As Dr. Zaius prepares for a dangerous mission into the ruins of Manhattan with Ursus, Nova guides Brent to the sanctuary of Dr. Zira and Dr. Cornelius, now a married couple, where his injury is tended. With Zaius departing to lead the invasion of the Forbidden Zone, he entrusts the future of science to Zira and Cornelius, setting the stage for a pivotal moment in the apes' world. Written by Doug Moench and illustrated with striking detail by Alfredo Alcalá, the cover by Ron Wilson and Mike Esposito captures the tension of this 1975 Marvel UK classic.
