“Beneath the Planet of the Apes: Part Two: Fateful Encounter”

In "Beneath the Planet of the Apes: Part Two: Fateful Encounter," Nova rides alone through the ruins of the Forbidden Zone, her path crossing with Brent—still grieving the loss of the Skipper—only to find him clutching Taylor’s I.D. tag. Together, the two form an uneasy alliance, riding toward answers that lead them back to the ape city, where General Ursus stirs unrest with a call for total war against humanity. Written by Doug Moench and brought to life with bold, expressive art by Alfredo Alcala, the issue’s cover by Ron Wilson and Mike Esposito captures the tension of a world teetering on the edge.
