Li'l Jinx is fighting with the new neighbor girl Alice. This upsets Li'l Jinx's father who tells her she has to learn how to get along with new people and he decides to show her how it's done. Alice's mother sees him talking to Alice and tells George, who's reading about local kidnappers. George punches him in the face. The two men realize it was a mistake and shake hands. Unable to make the girls do the same they decide to take the other's daughter and practice archery, which escalates into the fathers fighting again, and their daughters apologize to each other for their father's hot tempers.
