Pep Comics #119
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeFrom January 1957, this issue of Pep Comics puts Archie front and center in a charming schoolyard scene, leaning in to tell Betty about a dream where he asked her — not Veronica — on a date, while Betty fires back with a perfectly timed zinger about Archie having more sense asleep than awake. Jughead lurks on the steps in the background, adding his own wordless comic energy to the moment. Samm Schwartz's cover pencils capture that warm, breezy Riverdale atmosphere that made this series such a delight, and with Katy Keene, Wilbur, Li'l Jinx, and other fan favorites also featured inside, this ten-cent package is packed with personality.

Wilbur dates Linda every night for two weeks. Linda finds out Laurie's been out of town skiing. Thinking that's why she's been getting Wilbur's attention, Linda waits to see if he will keep their date for the following day. Wilbur goes to get Linda a box of chocolates. He's told he'll get them for free if he'll deliver some first. After he's delivered the last box his car breaks down. When Wilbur finally shows up at Linda's, she slams the door in his face. Rejected, he takes the candy to Laurie's only to find she is upset with him since he's been spending so much time with Linda.
