“Snow Job”

Pep #262 from Archie's February 1972 lineup delivers a split-panel cover by Dan DeCarlo (pencils) and Rudy Lapick (inks) that sets up a perfectly timed comic misunderstanding: on the left, Archie announces himself at the Lodge mansion door as "the flame of her heart," while the right panel reveals Veronica's butler dryly dismissing him as "ol' heartburn" — with Veronica herself peeking down from the staircase above. The whole Riverdale gang crowds the top of the cover in true Archie fashion, promising a full roster of familiar faces inside. It's a charming snapshot of the series' signature mix of romantic rivalry and gentle comedy.
