In "Voodoo," Betty finds herself lost in the eerie Lodge mansion and knocks on a drum to call for help—only to be warned by Veronica that the drum is cursed. After Betty falls ill and cancels her date with Archie, Veronica grows uneasy, realizing the curse might be real. Now, convinced she can use the drum’s power, Veronica decides to order one for each of her romantic rivals.

In "French Fracas," Veronica and her friends launch a petition to ban French exchange students after the charming Ye-Ye seems to be stealing all the attention from the boys. But when they encounter a different group of French students, their opinions start to shift in unexpected ways.
