Peacemaker Presents: The Vigilante / Eagly Double Feature #5

The finale of this five-issue DC Black Label series lands with a cover that's equal parts clever and absurd — we're looking at the back of Peacemaker's iconic chrome helmet, its reflective dome showing Eagly the eagle staring right back at us, with the words "Peacemaker's Back" emblazoned across the red-suited shoulders and a sticky note reading "Lick Me!" tucked below. Mitch Gerads brings real craft to what could have been a simple gag, turning a reversed perspective into a genuinely striking composition against a bold red-white-and-blue backdrop. If "A Time for Fables, Chapter 5" wraps things up with even half this much personality, Tim Seeley and Gerads have delivered a worthy send-off for one of DC's most entertainingly weird ensembles.
