Peacemaker #4

The concluding chapter of DC's 1988 four-part Peacemaker mini-series arrives with a cover that earns its bold "WAR!" proclamation — Tod Smith's art places the helmet-clad, dual-pistol-wielding Peacemaker at the center of a storm of incoming bullets, his battered costume still bearing his chest emblem as he stands his ground. Looming behind him is an enormous, menacing green face with piercing eyes, while armed soldiers close in from both lower corners. Paul Kupperberg's "Peace of War!" wraps up what has been a tense, action-packed series in genuinely satisfying fashion.
