"Tomorrow's World" introduces readers to the history and future applications of plastics, beginning with French chemist Bracconot's 1833 discovery and American John Hyatt's development of pyroxylin, highlighting the expanding role of plastics in industrial design. A third story depicts a pilot testing a new aircraft, with a child and several adults observing the test flight from the ground as the nervous child watches anxiously and the plane eventually lands safely.
