Paranoid Gardens #3

The third chapter of Gerard Way and Shaun Simon's strange Dark Horse series brings us this striking Chris Weston cover: a figure in a beekeeper's suit and mesh helmet stands in a hazy, rust-colored woodland clearing, clutching a smoking metal smoker in one gloved hand while the other reaches outward, a rope-knotted peace symbol stitched across their chest and mushrooms dotting the shadowy ground behind them. Dave Stewart's smoldering palette gives the whole scene an unsettling warmth that feels equal parts pastoral and deeply wrong. "Silence from the Zerosphere" promises exactly the kind of off-kilter weirdness this series has been delivering.
