“Tick Dracy”

In "Tick Dracy," a 1954 EC Comics gem, Mess is baffled by Tick’s unchanging black suit and meticulous hair, while a mysterious gash on her face sets off a chain of odd confrontations. Written by Nick Meglin and Al Feldstein, with art by Bill Elder and coloring by Marie Severin, the story unfolds with surreal humor and a twist that’s as sharp as Tick’s nose—literally. The cover, penciled and inked by Al Feldstein, captures the story’s offbeat tension in bold, expressive lines.
