Dynamite's 2007 relaunch of Painkiller Jane kicks off with a cover that immediately establishes the character's tone — red-haired, battle-worn, and unflinching, Jane stares out with striking green eyes while blood spatters her face and a pistol looms in the foreground. The raw, close-cropped composition by cover artist Ron Adrian makes it feel genuinely dangerous, perfectly suited to a series built on toughness and survival. With Jimmy Palmiotti and Joe Quesada on the writing side and a Sci-Fi Channel TV series running alongside it in 2007, this issue arrived at an exciting moment for the character.
