Part of DC's twelve-issue future-shocker series, Outcasts #2 drops readers into a bleak post-apocalyptic landscape where a goggled, red-suited soldier stands front and center, assault rifle in hand, amid rubble and looming derelict structures. Behind him, figures in yellow scatter and scramble across the devastated terrain — setting the stage perfectly for the issue's bluntly titled story, "Sneak Attack!" Cam Kennedy's cover linework gives the whole scene a gritty, lived-in menace that makes this 1987 Wagner-Grant series feel like one of DC's more grounded dystopian efforts.
