Out of This World #3
In "From All Our Darkrooms," scientist Siroco's creation, the Omnipotent robot Tondo, returns from a three-year mission with haunting images of a dead world—images that thwart a would-be conqueror's plans. Now on a new mission to Earth, Tondo must protect humanity by continuing to mislead the despot who seeks to expand his empire. Written by Joe Gill and brought to life with striking art by Bill Molno and Vince Alascia, this 1981 Alan Class gem features a cover by Steve Ditko, whose distinctive style frames a story of quiet defiance and unexpected heroism.

A scientist Siroco created Tondo, the Omnipotent robot, for space exploration. The planet where Tondo was created is not named, but a man whom Sirco calls 'Your Excellency' desires to use Tondo to explore possible worlds to invade and spread despotism. Tondo's first mission took an unexpected three years. He returns in bad shape, appearing damaged. Tondo shows moving pictures of the planet, displaying a desolate and unlivable planet. This dissuades the would-be invaders. Tondo's next mission is to Earth. Tondo intends on protecting the Earth by again deceiving the despotic conqueror.
