Out of the Vortex #6

Dark Horse's Out of the Vortex #6 (1994) spotlights Hero Zero front and center, the armored giant bursting outward in an explosion of debris with flames blazing from his raised fist — the cover banner makes sure you know this is his moment. A red-costumed figure tumbles in the foreground while a blue-armored combatant is sent flying in the upper right, giving the whole image a sense of raw, kinetic force. Eric Shanower's cover pencils and inks bring tremendous energy to the scene, and with Neal Barrett Jr. on scripting duties for "Death Times Three," the interior promises plenty to match.
