Rock and Easy Company at the center of a tense moment — cover artist Joe Kubert captures a group of battle-worn soldiers in steel helmets turning away from a lone, hollow-eyed replacement, the speech balloons making their hostility unmistakable: "Keep him away from us, Rock — we won't fight next to him!" That shadow of "ROCK" looming across the war-damaged wall behind them gives the scene a brooding, almost theatrical weight that only Kubert could pull off.
