One World Under Doom #6

History

The One World Under Doom nine-issue maxi-series was announced at San Diego Comic-Con on July 26, 2024, and spun directly out of the Blood Hunt crossover event. It was originally solicited as a five-issue miniseries titled The Rise of Emperor Doom, but was retitled and expanded to nine issues before its February 2025 launch — no official reason was given for either change. Ryan North, who had been writing Fantastic Four since 2022 and had cultivated the Doom/Reed dynamic throughout that run, was the natural creative choice for the core series, with R.B. Silva on full art duties and David Curiel on colors throughout. Editor Tom Brevoort positioned the event as a sustained era akin to Dark Reign rather than a conventional crossover, with issue #6 serving as the series' deliberate mid-season pivot point after skipping July 2025 publication before its August 6 release.
