Once & Future #13

Kieron Gillen and Dan Mora's Arthurian thriller presses forward with issue #13, and the cover says it all — a weathered older woman and a red-jacketed young man clutch a blood-streaked sword together as an enormous, glowing green dragon looms out of the darkness behind them, jaws agape and radiating an eerie supernatural light. Tamra Bonvillain's coloring makes that dragon feel genuinely threatening, its toxic luminescence a sharp contrast to the determined, almost weary expressions of the two figures in the foreground. "The Parliament of Magpies" is a chapter title that promises intrigue to match the peril on display here.
